Some of the thing's that you can do to be prepare on taking the ACT are review the material that don't understand, practice the writing portion of the test and lastly time yourself. Is good to practice similar similar problems that may be on the test, so in the day of the test you have an idea of what will it have. In addition, you can also practice the writing with many prompts that can be found online. Finally, time yourself when your practicing, cause its important to see how much time do you take to solve it. This are some of the skills which are helpful to know before taking the act.

The ACT has subject areas, which are math, science, reading and writing. The math portion has many types of problem including algebra and geometry. Science has many graphs that illustrates chemical reactions and also elements. The reading portion has many passages that have difficult vocabulary and also poems. Finally, the writing which is optional but is good to take it because it adds points to your final score.

Timing on the ACT is a big factor and you cannot waste time. When taking the test you need to be completely focus. If a problem seem to hard, than the guest than the best thing to do would be to do an educated guess than not doing it. Why you ask, well on the ACT they do not withdraw points if you get the problem wrong. So the best thing to do is time yourself and do not spend to much time in only one problem. By following this guidelines you are sure to get a high score.
