My Advice

Getting prepared for the ACT it’s really easy if you really want to; first all you need to prepare yourself by taking the online test preparation or take a class that will prepare you for it. It’s just like when you have any other test and you have study really hard to pass it with a good grade. Once you feel you are ready for the act you need to register and choose a test date. You will need to take a jacket a calculator and a pencil #2 the day of the test.

The sections of ACT are English, math, science reading. You also have the writing part which is like extra credit due that it doesn’t counts against you it only helps you; in the ACT it is good to guess due that you can get it right and it’s better that not answering and getting it wrong anyways. Another good tip is to use logic for the difficult questions and to answer the easy ones first. It’s really important that you understand what each question asks, and of course do your best.

Last but not least pace yourself, time limit set for each test give early every one enough time to finish all the questions. However because the English, reading, and science test contain a considerable amount of text, it is important to pace yourself so you will not spend too much time on one passage. Your supervisor will announce when you have five minutes remaining on each test so don’t panic and try to answer each question; and if you have time at the end your should go back and review your answers and also check you didn’t miss any.

Some of the thing's that you can do to be prepare on taking the ACT are review the material that don't understand, practice the writing portion of the test and lastly time yourself. Is good to practice similar similar problems that may be on the test, so in the day of the test you have an idea of what will it have. In addition, you can also practice the writing with many prompts that can be found online. Finally, time yourself when your practicing, cause its important to see how much time do you take to solve it. This are some of the skills which are helpful to know before taking the act.

The ACT has subject areas, which are math, science, reading and writing. The math portion has many types of problem including algebra and geometry. Science has many graphs that illustrates chemical reactions and also elements. The reading portion has many passages that have difficult vocabulary and also poems. Finally, the writing which is optional but is good to take it because it adds points to your final score.

Timing on the ACT is a big factor and you cannot waste time. When taking the test you need to be completely focus. If a problem seem to hard, than the guest than the best thing to do would be to do an educated guess than not doing it. Why you ask, well on the ACT they do not withdraw points if you get the problem wrong. So the best thing to do is time yourself and do not spend to much time in only one problem. By following this guidelines you are sure to get a high score.

Extra ! Extra! How to manage through ACT!

"He who opens a school, Closes a prison."~vitor Hugo 1800s. Can you interpret what the author's purpose? In order to look deeper in its meaning you must first practice vocabulary, grammar, open your mind and play with its alluded contex clues. This quote like the ACT is difficult to understand; not impossible. In order to strenghthen your skills in math, reading, and other subjects, you must Pre-Pare!!

From my first time experience taking the ACt, I can assure you that you will take it more than once unless you're a mega genious. The ACT gives a small amount of time for such a long test that to be able to pass the test you would need to improve your reading to a college level. Expand your grammar and vocabulary skills. There is no way but to study! study! research! Reasearch?! yes! find out how long each section is, the directions to save up time, and use an old ACT format online to practice.

Even though it is not assured, most rooms are cold and empty. you might not feel as comfortable being in a white four wall freezing room but have a positive mind and actitude. food is very important! you will have a 10-minute break wich will help you relax and take your mind of the test. the test is more than 4 hours if taking the essay portion..SO TAKE SNACKS!! Take advantage of the writing even though it is not mandatory you can have extra point by taking it than not. the test does not deduct points for wrong answers so you may take educated guess if necessary.

Like you must know not everyone is reputable at all the subject. if you are good in math study for reading so it wont affect your score too much. For instance, Iam exceptional when it comes to math and even though i studied for the reading it wasnt good enough.

ACT test Preparation!

  • It is extremly important to be prepared for the ACT, because it is required to pass it to be able to go to college. In a way that you can get prepared for it is by taking classes about the ACT test at your school, also practice online, there are many sites that you can go to and practice.

  • The subjects that your going to see on the test are Reading, Writing but that is optional, Math and Science. The Reading one is mostly about reading stories and then answer the questions that they give you, but dont worry they are not that difficult :) you just need to concentrate and put on your! that your going to pass it. The Writing is easy, it is the easiest subject on the test. Math is easy too, is more common sense, and science is not hard but I can tell you that it is a bit confusing, but don't worry just be confident!

  • The timing for the ACT test is "really important " I know I have said this a million times but trust me if I have reapeat it so many times is for a reason, so you better get to it. The reason is because if you get late to the testing room they're not going to let you enter to take the exam you need to be there at the exact time that they assigned you, so make sure to go to sleep early and have a great breakfast, get early! and do not forget anything! Take two number 2pencils, a permited calculator (not scientific!) and be prepared for anything!

Don't forget! Be confident take out of your mind any negative though!

God Bless! (:

Everyone taking the ACT should be prepared even if it is the smallest thing. Reading and using ACT student website (www.actstudent.org) for preparation can help a lot when it comes to taking ACT. Try timing yourself when you take this prep test. The hardest subject areas were the reading and science. The thing with the reading is that it is long reading and hard question with barely any time, so basically timing is what lets you read in a understanding pace in order to answer this questions correctly.
Now science is basically graphs comprehending, one page with graphs and the other page filled with questions for 4 passages. Remember take calculator, eraser, jacket and a watch (not all classes have clocks). In addition bring your admission ticket with an Id so the proctor can recognize you. Finally, don't be late, or your proctor will dismiss you out again.
Timing in the ACT is the most important thin. Without time, the test can get very hard, and before you know it "times up." In reading for example, you have 40 minutes for 45 minutes questions plus you have to read the passage. Remember to take your practice test and time yourself.

Good Luck,

Advice for the A.C.T

  • Takin the A.C.T is a test that you should take as long as you can. Before going to take the test you should be really prepared.Stuffs you need for sure on the day of the test are,a #2 pencil,a calculator,a sweater, also an ID "its really important",and the admission thicket that you print from the A.C.T website.
  • The subjects are a littlebit hard, but if your prepared then you are not going to have any problems with the subjects. For example, reading its easy, because you have to see the words that doesn't go with the sentences and stuffs like that.In math there's not alot of work to show.Science its alot of graphs that helps you figure out the answers.Everythin is common sense.
  • Something that kills you in the test is the "time".When you are really concentrated in the test, the time goes by really really fast and you dont even notice. And because of the time you have to work and think hard. And try your best. Good Luck
